Who are the Lindsay Leg Club Foundation?
Leg Clubs aim to provide lower limb management in a social environment, where members (patients) are treated collectively and the emphasis is on social interaction, participation, empathy and peer support where positive health beliefs are promoted. The Lindsay Leg Club impacts positively on healing and recurrence rates and helps isolated older people reintegrate into their communities.
Leg Clubs motivates and empowers individuals to take ownership of their care, alleviate their suffering and reduce the stigma attached to their condition. It also seeks to further advance education in all aspects of leg health among sufferers, carers, the general public and the healthcare professions.
How do we support them?
We are excited to be sponsors of the Lindsay Leg Club Foundation, a registered Charity No. 1111259, www.legclub.org. With a passion for caring for local communities and encouraging self-care when appropriate, we are aligned in our goals for the future of lower limb management. Mike Hoskins, previous Managing Director of H&R Healthcare, is a Trustee and Chair of the charity.
When’s the Leg Club conference?
The 20th Leg Club Annual Conference is being held on the 28th – 29th September 2022 at Worcester Rugby Club.
