For over 18 years, H&R Healthcare Ltd has been a key player in the UK’s healthcare supply chain. In March 2020, we became part of Mediq, Europe’s leading medical device distributor. While some back-office processes have been integrated, H&R Healthcare Ltd has largely continued to operate under its original name.
However, following the acquisition of Bunzl Retail & Healthcare Supplies Ltd in December 2022 and its seamless integration into Mediq, our UK footprint has expanded significantly. To streamline operations and enhance both operational and financial efficiency, we have made the strategic decision to fully integrate H&R Healthcare into Mediq Healthcare UK Ltd, Registered Office: Mediq House, Arundel Avenue, Castle Donington, Derby, DE74 2HJ.
This move will not only optimise our performance and improve customer experience but also reduce our environmental footprint, as we consolidate operations into our state-of-the-art facility in Castle Donington.
H&R Healthcare will formally cease operations at the end of this year, with last orders being accepted and processed on 13th December 2024 giving a final delivery date of 20th December 2024.
From 2nd January 2025 all orders must be placed with Mediq Healthcare UK. If you are an existing Mediq Healthcare UK customer, please order using your usual ordering method. If not, please send your PO to the correct department email at the bottom of this letter.
H&R Healthcare price lists will remain the same. Whilst we don’t envisage any disruption to service, we would encourage you to increase your November orders to ensure you have sufficient supplies to cover demand during the transitional period.
